Sweet, juicy peaches
Natural Grocers has organic peaches 4 pounds for $5 this week. Peaches are at the top of the “Dirty Dozen,” so this is a great time to preserve them or make them into a favorite dessert or other dish.

I’ve found that some of the fruit in the stores isn’t ripe yet, so I’ll put peaches and nectarines in a brown paper page with a banana in a cupboard for a few days. Once they ripen they’re juicy and delicious — then I put them in the refrigerator. Also works with pears, avocados, etc.
